Own the cabinet finishing business in your city.
Spray My Cabinet is awarding protected territories to owner-operators across Canada. You get four weeks of certification, a complete spray equipment package, the booking platform, and homeowners arriving through national marketing from day one.
Canada has millions of kitchens. Most of them do not need replacing.
Cabinet replacement is expensive, slow and increasingly out of reach for the average household. Refinishing delivers most of the visual result for a fraction of the cost and a fraction of the disruption, which is why demand keeps growing even when full remodels stall.
The trade itself is fragmented. Most of your competition is a solo painter with no brand, no warranty, no booking system and no way for a homeowner to verify them. That gap is the opportunity, and it is what a franchise model is actually good at closing.
| What you get | Included |
|---|---|
| Protected territory | Defined by postal code and exclusive to you. No other franchisee quotes inside it. |
| Spray equipment package | HVLP system, containment and extraction kit, booth setup, guns and consumables through to first revenue. |
| Four-week certification | Two weeks technical spray training, two weeks pricing, quoting and sales systems. |
| Booking platform | Homeowner applications, quoting, scheduling, secured payments and reviews in one dashboard. |
| Marketing engine | Google Ads, the brand site, city landing pages and review generation run centrally and pointed at your postal codes. |
| Ongoing support | A dedicated business coach, quarterly performance reviews and national supplier pricing on coatings and hardware. |
What head office actually does for you.
A royalty is only worth paying if something comes back for it. Here is exactly what comes back.
Certification that assumes nothing
Half our franchisees have never held a spray gun. The programme starts at surface preparation and substrate identification, not at advanced technique.
Homeowners routed to you
Applications submitted through the site are routed by postal code to the territory that covers them. You are not buying resold leads from an aggregator.
A quoting system, not a guess
Door counts, substrate, prep condition and travel feed a pricing model built from thousands of completed Canadian kitchens. Underquoting is the most common way trade businesses fail.
National purchasing power
Coatings, abrasives, hardware and consumables at network pricing rather than retail counter pricing.
Credibility on day one
You arrive at a quote with a warranty, verified reviews, secured payment terms and a company behind you. Your solo competitor arrives with a phone number.
Someone whose job is your numbers
A dedicated business coach reviews your close rate, average job value and utilisation every quarter and tells you which one to fix first.
What it costs to open.

| Is this you? | |
|---|---|
| Good fit | Comfortable in front of homeowners in their own home. Willing to run a crew. Wants a business that produces something visible at the end of the week. |
| Also a good fit | Coming from outside the trades entirely. Roughly half our franchisees did. Sales, logistics and corporate operations backgrounds all transfer well. |
| Poor fit | Looking for passive income, or planning to keep a full-time job through year one. This is an owner-operator model and it will not run without you in it daily. |
| Capital | Access to $85,000 to $140,000 CAD, whether from savings, financing or a combination. |
We would rather tell you no early than sell you in.
A franchise that awards territories to people who are wrong for the model ends up with underperforming units, unhappy franchisees and a damaged brand. That is bad for everyone, so the screening runs both ways.
During discovery day you will speak to existing franchisees without anyone from head office in the room. Ask them what the first six months actually looked like.
From first call to first kitchen.
Most candidates move from initial enquiry to opening in ten to fourteen weeks.
Introductory call
Thirty minutes on your background, capital position and the territory you have in mind. No cost and no pressure.
Franchise kit and disclosure
You receive the full information package and the Franchise Disclosure Document, including fee structure, unit economics and territory maps. Canadian franchise law requires this at least fourteen days before you sign or pay anything, in the provinces that regulate franchising.
Territory review
We model household counts, housing age profile and competitor density in your target area, then confirm whether it supports a single unit or a multi-unit build.
Discovery day
A day at head office. Meet the leadership team, watch a live spray session, and speak with existing franchisees privately.
Award and certification
Agreement signed, territory locked, and the four-week certification programme begins. Your equipment ships during week three.
Launch
Your city landing pages go live, ad spend points at your postal codes, and the first homeowner applications land in your dashboard.

Availability changes weekly. Tap your province for local availability.
What candidates ask first
Do I need painting experience?
No. Roughly half our franchisees came from outside the trades. The four-week certification covers the technical work from surface preparation upward. What we cannot teach is the willingness to be accountable for a stranger's kitchen.
Can I run this while keeping my job?
Not in year one. This is an owner-operator model that needs you on site or managing the crew daily. Franchisees who treat it as a side business consistently underperform, and we would rather say that now than after you have signed.
How large is a territory?
Territories are drawn by postal code and typically cover 60,000 to 120,000 households depending on density and housing age. Older housing stock produces more refinishing demand per household, so an older suburb often outperforms a larger new-build area.
Is financing available?
We work with Canadian lenders familiar with franchise lending, and the Canada Small Business Financing Program is available to qualifying applicants. We are not a lender and cannot guarantee approval or terms.
Who generates the leads?
Central marketing runs Google Ads, the brand site and city landing pages, routing homeowner applications to your dashboard by postal code. You are still expected to build local presence through referrals and community visibility. The strongest territories do both.
Can I own more than one territory?
Yes, after twelve months of operating results in your first. Several franchisees now run multi-territory operations with dedicated crews, and adjacent territories are usually offered to the existing operator first.
What does a typical week look like?
In year one, roughly two days quoting in homeowners' kitchens, three days on site with the crew, and evenings on scheduling and follow-up. As you add staff, the balance shifts toward quoting and managing rather than spraying.
Is the business seasonal in Canada?
Less than most trades. Because the work is interior, winter does not stop it the way it stops roofing or exterior painting. Demand does concentrate ahead of the holidays and in spring, and the territories that plan for that keep their crews busy through the quieter weeks.
